01

Start with where the customer pays

Do you need to accept a card at a market, send a payment link over WhatsApp, or collect payments on a website? Those are different workflows with different costs.

02

Check the full fee

Compare transaction percentages, fixed charges, potential VAT, chargeback fees, refunds, settlement timing and any equipment or subscription cost. Provider rates may change.

03

Evaluate trust and reconciliation

Use established payment providers. Give customers clear payment instructions, and always verify successful settlement rather than relying solely on a forwarded screenshot.

04

Recalculate as volume grows

A fee structure that works for ten sales per month might not work for hundreds. Revisit the comparison when your sales volume or average order value changes.
